Back to School Fun Day: A Day of Support and Celebration

The DEJ Foundation was thrilled to host its inaugural Back to School Fun Day in Seven Ground District, Clarendon, Jamaica. This event marked a powerful step toward uplifting our community and ensuring that our children are prepared for the school year ahead.

With the support of generous partners and volunteers, the DEJ Foundation provided over 100 children with essential school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, pens, and pencils. Beyond the supplies, the day was filled with laughter and joy, as the children enjoyed a variety of fun activities, including a trampoline, bouncy house, and a host of games. The festive atmosphere was enhanced with music, food, popcorn, and ice treats, creating a day of pure happiness and togetherness.

But our commitment to the community extends beyond the schoolyard. As part of our holistic approach to support, we also donated vital medical supplies to the local clinic, including blood pressure machines, stethoscopes, masks, latex gloves, adult diapers, and wipes. These contributions ensure that both educational and healthcare needs are addressed, fostering a healthy and thriving community.

At the DEJ Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. With the right resources and support systems in place, we can help create secure environments where children and families can thrive. Our Back to School Fun Day is just one example of how we work to provide long-term, sustainable solutions for those most in need.

Looking Ahead: The Road to 2025

As we reflect on the success of this event, we’re already setting our sights on 2025. Our goal is to expand our reach to support even more children in the community. We plan to provide additional school supplies, donate water tanks to local schools to ensure access to clean drinking water, and continue equipping the local clinic with the medical supplies necessary to serve the community effectively.
